Welcome Harry, to Diagon Alley

Harry Potter has so much meaning to me. It was a huge part of my vows, because actually it was my vow. The story captivated my heart when I first read it and it still captivates it now. I try to own most memorabilia that I can. Therefor, when I was given the chance to visit Diagon Alley in Orlando I literally jumped!

These are all the pictures I managed to capture because it was my first time going and I wanted to just experience it. I do that with most places I go for the first time. I just experience then capture it. We had so much fun and minus it because so freaking hot (trust me it is NOT that hot in London during the summer, I know for a fact!) it was simply wonderful.

Even though we are in Orlando we do not plan to return to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter until January when we return with all of our friends and family. I cannot wait to show them the gems this place holds! The food is scrumptious just like the other side of the WW of HP!

Fresh Start Challenge Day 26: Love Potion #9

Even in the books before the movies came out I was obsessed with the man that loathed Harry. I wanted to hurt people because to me even in the books Snape stood out. Who knows, maybe it was his long greasy hair or his sneer that drew me in.

I even loved him when he was so mean to Harry. Maybe it was my love for bad guys that seemed like that they had a soft side. And soft side he had. I was a complete mess when Death Hallows came out. I was working at Books A Million in Huntsville then and I remember I sat in the park by myself and cried my heart out. I read that entire book in one day.

My love for Snape exploded. I felt so distraught when he passed on. I hated that she killed him. I was mad. Then I realized he was with Lily. What did it matter what I thought? He was with the person he loved forever and of course, Always.

Always

When I first started blogging I wrote a post about my future engagement. It's interesting to know that almost two years ago I didn't want Chris to propose to me. I was content with him just loving and I believe that's how it should be.

Finding love at a Jimmy John's will and always be crazy to me. Yes I had met Chris before but alone and speaking to him not out of being polite was life changing. What if I had decided to eat at Subway or Quiznos? What if he hadn't been upset about his just ended relationship ended with his ex being pregnant by his brother? What if I had went to a different Jimmy John's location? What if I had been determined to return to Jeremy? What if I had turned Chris down from shyness? But the fact remains God put us there and it wasn't by some crazy meet up website or dating website. This was God's plan all along.

We were strangers, starting out on a journey
Never dreaming, what we'd have to go through
Now here we are, I'm suddenly standing
At the beginning with you

We started out on a courting relationship. It was beautiful we had the best times. Even on May 24, 2012 when he gave me my first kiss of my life from a guy I knew Chris was special. We let God lead the way but you all know our story if you have been reading my blog for the past two years. We were completely crazy about each other but we kept the Lord at the center. We prayed together all the time, and nothing has changed at all. I mean how many times does a guy take a girl clear across the world to see a group that she loves last concert before they disband? How many guys find the grandparents she hasn't seen since she was 4 years old?

No one told me I was going to find you
Unexpected, what you did to my heart
When I lost hope, you were there to remind me
This is the start

Then Chris moved to Huntsville himself to live closer to me. Then Jackjack came into the picture and we settled into a relationship of quick kisses, diapers, playing, and taking Jackjack to one house one night and the other house the next night. Jackjack is my half baby brother in reality. My stepmom died and my dad was in no condition to take care of him. So we became parents and took those ropes easily. A small little family.

You're the answer when I prayed
I would find someone
And baby I found you

Then December came for us... We were at Chris's brother's wedding at Disney and Chris says he would like to make an announcement in the middle of our solo dance. I was figuring it was a speech to the couple like normal people do at weddings. Key word: normal, and Chris just isn't that. He told everyone he wanted to tell me something specifically. He proposed right then and there in front of all of Erica's wedding guests (so much for a small quiet engagement right?) The moment he slide my great grandmother's ring on my finger I just cried and cried. We danced and danced that night. I think I could have danced forever that night.

All I want is to hold you forever
All I need is you more every day
You saved my heart
From being broken apart
You gave your love away
I can't find the words to say
That I'm thankful everyday
For the gift

Dancing... This word means the world to Chris and myself. We love to dance. I have come to the conclusion I will never have thin thighs because I have muscle things between regular dancing and pole dancing. But Chris says they are amazing. Dancing to us is the movement of love. We have the sexy wild dancing for releasing energy and anxiety. Our slow dancing can either help us when we are sad or when we are in a romantic mood.

Our lives continued as an engaged couple into the year 2013. We discovered Jackjack's cancer had returned. Being back at St. Jude's was difficult because I wasn't going through those doors as his sister but his mommy. But like his Daddy Chrissy he showed cancer who was boss and my little man is strong as his daddy.

Chris and I did have the wonderful amazing opportunity to travel to Israel together. If there is anything that makes you feel like you are a couple meant to be it's when you touch the bottom of where the cross was together. I felt like this strong force was holding me there and the urge to grab Chris's hand took over me and what's amazing? He was already holding his hand out. We prayed there together.

There's a laugh in my eyes
There's a waltz in my walk
And it's been such a long time
Since there was hope in my talk
If you never knew
What it is that's new.. it's you
And now,

We are married. Our big wedding hasn't happened and Lord no I am not pregnant. Chris decided that after someone told him that girls were still thinking they could move in on him that he wanted to show the world who had his heart. He scared the daylights out of me before he told me he was getting us married at midnight. Our wedding date is May 14, 2014. It's a beautiful day. We got married on the same ground and same spot as our first date two years ago.

'Cause when your hands are in mine
You set a fire that everyone can see
And it's burning away
Every bad memory
To tell you the truth
If it's something new.. baby it's you

My grandmother from Paris laced up my dress. Lisa (Chris's stepmom ) placed my diamond necklace on me. Mary Ann did my make-up and Hunter did my hair. My daddy being the weirdo that he is insisted  that he was going to put on my garter. And my grandpaw helped me slide on my shoes. My veil was fastened on by Mrs. Greene who helped Chris's mom raise him because she was his neighbor. My daddy drove me and my grandparents.

The world's a different place
Where nothing's too hard to say
And nothing's to hard to do
Never too much to go through
To tell you the truth
Everything that's new.. baby it's you

My bouquet was the most gorgeous bunch of white and red lilies. And I felt so gorgeous when I stepped out of that car and my daddy slide my arm through his and told me that he was so proud of me and that my mom would have been proud of me too. He had not spoke of my mother without me bringing it up since I was eight years old so I instantly was ready to cry anyhow and then we walked further and everything came alive at once. Candles where hanging in the sky and in the trees.

So if I get to grow old (oh if I get to grow old)
With many years behind me (many years behind me)
There's only one thing I want (aahh)
One thing I need beside me
For all that you are
For everything you do
For all that you've done
Just for showing me the truth
It's you
It's you
Baby it's you

Dani was my bridesmaid, Chris's littlest sister. All four of my older brothers where beside Chris and each one of them their lapels were sporting a different Hogwarts house color. I started crying when Jackjack walked in front of me and went running to Chris, who scooped him up and handed him over to my brother Jared.

When it was my turn to walk towards Chris the music that bellowed from the speakers was that of Patrick Doyle's Magic Works. I started crying thinking about the date two years ago dancing in my living room (before we started taking lessons). I felt my daddy start to tremble as he walked me to Chris and when Daddy lifted my veil I kissed him and thanked him for raising me and my poor daddy lost it. He started crying so hard. "My only baby girl." And when Wayne, our minister, asked who was giving me away. My daddy barely whispered, "Her mother and I do." I was bawling.

We both slid off our True Love Waits rings and placed them a long white candle as Christina Perri's A Thousand Years started playing which was the first song we danced to in the same spot two years ago. This is to burn the night we make love for the first time. Even though Chris isn't a true virgin he is a secondary virgin. We both had soil from our childhood yards and we planted a small bush together. We tied a knot in a rope.

We both had wrote our own vows ages ago and sadly being the perfectionists we are we both had our memorized or well enough to not look at the notes we were able to look if we wanted to do so. We both said poems and Bible verses. Wayne added many Bible verses that we didn't say. Wayne said the traditional "Do you Odette Belle Diana Molyneux take this man Christopher Allen Ryan Raposo to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and health, to love, honor and obey, in good times and woe, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself solely unto him for as long as you both shall live?" I didn't hesitate at all.

"Always."

Chris's eyes grew big and then the humor shown in them. Wayne himself had humorous tone to him as he continued to Chris.

"Do you Christopher Allen Ryan Raposo take this woman Odette Belle Diana Molyneux to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in heath, in good times and woe, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself solely unto her for as long as you both shall live?"

"Always."

"If there be anyone present who may show just and lawful cause why this couple may not be legally wed, let him speak now or forever hold his peace."

We exchanged rings saying, " With this ring, I give you my heart, I promise from this day forward, you shall not walk alone, may my heart be your shelter, and my arms be your home."

Then Wayne and Chris exchanged a look.

The next thing that happened shocked me to the very inside of me.

Wayne took out a wand and told Chris to take my right hand. We held hands while looking into each other's eyes. He tapped the wand on our joined hands.

"To Odette, these are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and vibrant
with love, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as he promises
to love you all the days of his life.

These are the hands that will work along side yours, as together you
build your future, as you laugh and cry, as you share your innermost
secrets and dreams.

These are the hands you will place with expectant joy against your
stomach, until he too, feels his child stir within you.

These are the hands that look so large and strong, yet will be so
gentle as he holds your baby for the first time.

These are the hands that will work long hours for you and your new family

These are that hands that will passionately love you and cherish you
through the years, for a lifetime of happiness.

These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your
eyes: tears of sorrow and tears of joy

These are the hands that will comfort you in illness, and hold you
when fear or grief wrack your mind.

These are the hands that will tenderly lift your chin and brush your
cheek as they raise your face to look into his eyes: eyes that are
filled completely with his overwhelming love and desire for you."

"And to Chris these are the hands of your
best friend, smooth, young and carefree, that are holding yours on
your wedding day, as she pledges her love and commitment to you all
the days of her life.

These are the hands that will hold each child in tender love, soothing
them through illness and hurt, supporting and encouraging them along
the way, and knowing when it is time to let go

These are the hands that will massage tension from you neck and back
in the evenings after you've both had a long hard day.

These are the hands that will hold you tight as you struggle through
difficult times

These are the hands that will comfort you when you are sick, or
console you when you are grieving.

They are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you
through the years, for a lifetime of happiness.

These are the hands that will hold you in joy and excitement and hope,
each time she tells you that you are to have another child, that
together you have created a new life.

These are the hands that will give you support as she encourages you
to chase down your dreams. Together as a team, everything you wish for
can be realized."

"Will you both hold cherish the hands that are holding during the storms of stress and the dark of disillusionment and be sure that God blesses these hands Keep them tender and gentle as they nurture each other in their wondrous love. Saying Always is making the unbreakable vow."

We both said in an unison, "Always." And gold sparks went up behind Wayne.

"You may kiss your bride and update your Facebook."

Chris dipped me backwards as Westlife's version of "Ain't that Kick in the Head" started playing.

So Snape married his Lily with an Unbreakable Vow. Now maybe some of you will understand why Chris was so upset the other night.

Now we are still having our big wedding celebration in October. So there will be another wedding day post!

Fresh Start Day 6: My Snape

Chris has always reminded me of Snape.
Snape was my favorite character long before book 7 ever came out. I had a thing for guys with long hair and crooked noses.

What people see Chris do is save the world and conquer it.

What his employees see him do is a fire people and be an ass.

What the world sees him as is a kid that got lucky and was born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

What his friends think he does is shake things up selfishly.

What he thinks he does is come up short with helping people.

What I see him do is love this friends and family beyond measure.  I love him beyond anything I have ever experienced.

The world wants to tear him down but I am the quiet one and trust me I am a natural red head just watch my temper shine.

Vampire Fears

Vampires have really taken over with the media (Zombies are the talk of reality though.) But as for fantasies it's really about vampires. For instance you can actually buy a wig that looks like Edward Cullen's hair now at Walmart for a costume. To me it honestly seems like Vampires haven taken over. From television shows, books, movies (HELLO Abraham Lincoln a Vampire Slayer and yes I know it's a book too), they have inched  their way into everything including tomorrow's religion post so be sure to check back and no I'm not going to bash Twilight or True Blood.

Today has been interesting for me. For starters, I'm under the weather slightly. I'm slightly cranky and some of my "I actually care" mode is off. Is that a good enough excuse? Well not really, but my medicine hasn't kick in yet. Work has been great with the kids. All of them are talking about Halloween, their Halloween Party, and their costumes.

We have children with all sorts in our program. We treat each child the same, we go to all lengths. We have a child that is allergic to eggs and we have been all over Huntsville and Pinterest coming up with ideas for Halloween (and other holidays) treats that do not involve eggs. We have autism children and diabetic. We go all out for the kids because not only is it our job. We love theses children. We actually spend more hours of the week with the childrens then their parents do. Think about it. We have these children from 7 in the morning and some of them stay until 6 at night! Then they go home eat, get a bath, and go to bed by 9 or 10. So we are all these kids have at time.

This Halloween is a great thing because we are trying to teach not only to face their fears, but to help others face theirs. It's the greatest things to see them helping each other. The day before Halloween we will see a boggart in the classroom. The children have wrote down what their worst fears are and we are going to help them face their fears. It's an interesting concept that my co-workers came up with while watching Harry Potter. I will let you know on Tuesday how it went. For now I must bid you good night. I had class tonight and I honestly haven't had the best of nights.

Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak! Thank you!

I think there is a big take away from each movie of Harry Potter. Though there are many lessons to be learned with each and every character from the Harry Potter series. I personally feel like each movie/book had a lesson. I partnered with a fellow blogger Maria to do this joint blog. Her lessons from Disney movies can be found here Phoenix Desire: Lesson Learned.

In the first movie I believe the biggest lesson learned in the first movie/book is that you need friendship. Friendship for every aspect of your life. Some can overlap and some can be for certain parts of your life. Friendship that is strong enough to be there with you through anything. Being a friend that encourages your friend and helps them is a huge lesson to learn. However, in the beginning of the Sorcerer's Stone Malfoy tells Harry that he thinks they should be friends and can help him pick out the good and bad. Harry can automatically tell that Malfoy isn't the kind to be friends with when selecting people to be friends with in life.

The second book/movie takes on a whole different lesson for me. I believe in the second movie it's about not to judge people by what facts you only know. You won't know everything about that person and you are still judging them. Most everyone believed that just because Harry could speak Parseltongue and was around the attacks they believed he was the heir of Slytherin. However, many knew that he wouldn't do such a think nor knew how to do such a thing. Also a small lesson on the side is that if you know about something that could help matters please go ahead and advice an adult.

In this book/movie there is my almost favorite lessons from the Harry Potter series. Learn all sides of the story before making judgements, and also that secrets and unforseen circumstances can greatly impact peoples lives. This is the main reason I do like politics you never really know the truth behind what they are saying and rarely anyone proves what they say is true. Harry jumped to conclusion based on what he had overheard adults saying without checking with anyone else. And the adults jumped to conclusions without asking Black did he murdered Pettigrew. So in all always make sure to know the whole story and better yet just stay out of it if it has nothing to do with you.

In Book/Movie 4 I think what I learned most about is not matter how young you are that you are still able to do challenges that adult may not be able to do themselves either. It is also a Bible verse about that too which I love called 1 Timothy 4:12. Yeah Harry had some help, but we all need help. It's all about using our strengths and our abilities to conquer what is in front of us with the help of God. Though Harry might not have had the help of God. He had Moody helping him.

Lesson to be learned in book/movie 5 is to stand up for the truth and what is right even if you are one of the few. Harry is ridiculed by most of the wizarding community because they don't want to accept what he has seen. Even more they feel like he is trying to take over the community with Dumbledore in tow. Harry sticks it out by dealing with heartless characters Umbridge and Fudge. In the end everything is rectified. So always stick up for what you know is the truth and right.

In the sixth movie/book you learn several lessons. One lesson is that We all face conflicts, dilemmas and obstacles now and then. That is a given. It’s how we handle them that makes the difference. Another one is beliefs are extremely lucky because you have to believe you are lucky and things go right for you. I believe this lesson with my whole heart. Also the lesson to have someone to push you to do something you don't want to do but must do. And finally when something bad happens in your life that you never expected life does go on and you can't stop living. Your own life has a purpose so live it.

In the last movies/book is where things really are learned. Hermione teaches you that you can fight equally beside a man. Ron teaches you to conquer your fears. Dumbledore teaches you to look past prejudices. Lily and Snape both teach you that love is the most powerful magic. Dobby teaches you that friendship, real dedication, and love out weighs riches or rags. Neville teaches you that hard work and complete determination will get you to the top with success. Luna teaches you that it's ok to be scatterbrain on occasion and to open your eyes to different views of the world. Fred and George teaches you that even when the everyone else is glum and scared that you can always find humor somewhere no matter. Lupin can teach you to realize that people are who they are not what they are. All the Weasleys, especially Molly, taught us that family is important. Harry teaches you to do what is right instead of easy.

My love for Harry Potter never dwindles. I am a Christian. I do not believe magic can really happen, however, I do believe in the lessons taught by Harry Potter. And as the Queen herself, J. K. Rowling said " Whether you come back by page or by the big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home."

Needs More Color

Today has been a day, but I started this blog with the determination in mind. I am not going to slack on the blogging too much. I care about my blog way too much to do that. I'm sorry that they are coming at night now. I will really work on posting blogs.

So part of my problem for not posting blogs? Polyvore. Yes, I spend hours on end working with a color wheel creating outfits that I will probably never wear or come close to wearing with the exception of the things I buy while making the outfits which a lot of people's mouth drop when I say that, but I have a budget that I have for myself if I can afford it I'm going to buy it.

I want to share with you a few of my creations:

I love doing outfits. I love requests from certain events, to personalities, to characters and even lyrics. I like challenges with this. Even I'm amazed by what I'm able to come up with when people ask for certain things. It's been a lot of fun for me. I really enjoy doing the requests. Please feel free to send me requests.

100th Post

It does not seem like I have posted 100 posts. I remember my first blog. I was nervous, laying in the floor the hotel I was staying at for Claudette's wedding and the girl that now idolizes my blog, was laying on the bed above me. I was unsure about a lot of things. I just knew what I wanted to do. I wanted to share my life.

I was slightly shocked that people started reading my blog right away. Now I have posts that get read almost instantly 30 times in an hour. I have been readers and my blog has been read on over 15 different cellphones. My favorite part is that I have people all over the world care to stop by my blog to see what my life is like and that makes me think of Maddy's reasoning for being obsessed with my blog. "Your life rocks."

I always laugh, but sitting here an rereading some post I realize how thankful I am that my life is plentiful and joyful. God really has blessed me in life, with jobs, a place to live, food, things I want but don't need, and my blog. I realize many times now that my blogs not only show you my life, but also give you information. I like that it has stayed true to the schedule. Though, I do like to do spontaneous posts and funny posts just because it breaks free of tradition.

I appreciate those of you who stick by me through my ranting and raving. My endless obsessions and fandoms. If there is anything else you would like me to write about don't hesitate to tell me. I'll be here;

Quick and Short

So I am still healing from surgery this past Sunday. I wasn't allowed back at work for the rest of the week afraid I would strain myself. Next week is just some gentle walking and some yoga and light duty at work. I have a plan for the rest of the week.

Today I printed out a blog planner for me to match up with my regular planner. This way I get an idea of what other bloggers use and create my own. So this way I'm way more organized than what I am now. I have two notebooks that I have stuff wrote down in. I even downloaded and printed a sheet that is for brain storming. I am really hoping this helps me become more organized with blog writing.

In the midst of me printing and searching for blog I came across cleaning lists. Lists for each room. My townhouse could use a good scrub down so I have a feeling after I finish up tomorrow's religious post I will be cleaning. I do not mind cleaning at all. I think while I do that I will update the Products I Use with the cleaning supplies on it. I have been meaning to update those lists anyhow.

I also plan on detoxing my body come Saturday. I have been gathering information on that all day. I am quite excited about getting rid of all of the bad things in my body. I feel sluggish and I want to feel a lot better. Chris and a friend are going to help me in some areas. I think it will also help me relieve stress before school starts back.

Speaking of school it starts back for me this coming Wednesday. Am I ready? As ready as I can be. I'm nervous because last time I was in Tuscaloosa and living in a dorm. Now I'm on my own in Huntsville living in a townhouse. It is a new beginning for me.

Sunday will also mark my first Sunday school lesson. I wasn't able to make it last Sunday which totally bummed me out. Ironically my first lesson is on Harry Potter. Yep, Harry Potter. It's on growing up the right way. I think they will enjoy it. I know I enjoyed preparing it. But I love everything Harry Potter.

I want to stress this: I want your opinions. Right now I am taking opinions based on the posts that are viewed the most. I need feedback. I am thinking of doing a contest or a giveaway. More to come on that subject. I have been making changing to the blog itself and the Facebook page. You can check out the new apps on the Facebook page.

I hope all of you are having a good Thursday.

Harry Did Not Do His Job...

Seriously when the Olympics 2012 was mentioned around me to begin with I would scream this just like Joey. If you don't know what the graphics or what I'm talking about, just leave. Lol "It's LONDON BABY!" It's one  the best Joey moments ever! I believe when Chris and I were there two months ago I did that at him on the plane and some girl 4 rows behind us air high-fived me. It's great!

Anyhow, I have seriously loved the Olympics this year. For starters, yes it's in London Baby! Then hello, HARRY POTTER!!!!! Plus I like gymnastics and the swimming. I have watched other competitions though. I was so excited the Rupert Grint was one of the people to carry the torch! I guess that's why I have loved this so much because this is a Olympics where we know the famous people.

Yes the opening ceremony............ Was astounding!!!!! It was brilliant! Voldemort-woah my bad. He-who-must-not-be-named was there and Mary Poppins saved the day. Chill fellow magical people it was a slip of the tongue. I am surrounded by muggles. Anyhow, not only was he there but hello the queen herself was there. No no no not the one who looked like she could have been anywhere else and been a lot happier. JK Rowlings!!!! It was amazing!

Anyhow, I have been quite happy with the Olympics as far as the USA goes. The French team I was please with too. I happen to like watching the Olympics summer or winter. I have been extremely impressed with London's take on the Olympics.
