Harry Potter has so much meaning to me. It was a huge part of my vows, because actually it was my vow. The story captivated my heart when I first read it and it still captivates it now. I try to own most memorabilia that I can. Therefor, when I was given the chance to visit Diagon Alley in Orlando I literally jumped!
These are all the pictures I managed to capture because it was my first time going and I wanted to just experience it. I do that with most places I go for the first time. I just experience then capture it. We had so much fun and minus it because so freaking hot (trust me it is NOT that hot in London during the summer, I know for a fact!) it was simply wonderful.
Even though we are in Orlando we do not plan to return to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter until January when we return with all of our friends and family. I cannot wait to show them the gems this place holds! The food is scrumptious just like the other side of the WW of HP!

Fresh Start Challenge Day 24: Holy Lands
A little over a year ago I had the privilege to go to Israel.
Chris and I traveled through the Holy Lands with our eyes wide and heart open.
There are two things that stand out to me as the most spiritual moments in my life.
First one:
We were baptized in the River Jordan. I cried as I lifted back up out of the water. I was baptized in almost the same place as Jesus himself was and my body was trembling even though it was very hot outside. I watched Chris get baptized as well. We both stood praying to the side of our group we were with for the trip. I felt so cleansed and renewed.
Second time:
We went to see The Church of Holy Sepulchre. When we went it was not very busy at all which we learned was very rare. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre contains the Tomb of Christ and also Golgotha, the place of the crucifixion. Chris and I walked around and finally got in line. The line let to a table and we could see people crawling under the table. I know I gasped when I realized what they were doing and what we were about to do. This was where the cross once stood. The cross was erected between two rocks where the blood of Jesus fell on. We were about to have an opportunity to touch the rock where Jesus was crucified. Underneath the altar, there is a hole through which we put our arm through to touch the rock. By doing this, we touched the rock where Jesus died.
I was crying and I felt Chris's body shaking with tears. We prayed together as well there. It was an experience I never will forget.

Mixed Emotions
I'm really confused right now with everything going on. I know God has plan and purpose for everything. I just need a little bit of guidance on how to handle everything and what should I do first.
So last week was a wonderful trip to Disney World. I came in the top 25 runners of the Tower of Terror 10 miler. It felt great during the race. However, it was so humid during it that it felt like I was breathing oven air. I was a nice sweaty mess afterwards. I washed off with wet wipes and stuck my head under a sink faucet and put foam mousse into it and then put my hair under the hand dryer (Disney beauty at it's finest.) We stayed in the park until at least 4 in the morning because it was opened to those of us who ran 10 miles and our family and friends.
The trip really was wonderful. Yeah it rained and it was extremely humid, but we were able to look beyond that. We did a lot of shopping and shows that I know I had never really explored before and I've been there several times in my life. (I'll be honest. I did more shopping this time because I was desperate for some air conditioning.) Chris and I danced in the rain. I spent long hours in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I still never get bored there. I am almost finished my collection of wands. To me a trip to Orlando is not complete without a stop at WWoHP!
When we came home I knew I had school work to do. I did manage to remember my Google course that was due on the 10th. I did a review on the class HERE. I did get to take a survey on the class today. I cannot wait to get my certification from Google. For me it means more knowledge and I really love that.
Now for the part of the blog that has me upset. I got a message around 9 on Monday night from my dad. "You need to get to Memphis as fast as you can." My blood went cold and one thing came to mind; Jackjack. I packed two days worth of clothes in a bag and left immediately. I drove all night. I cut corners getting there as fast as I could. I'll admit I was speeding. I know at one point I was literally going 90 mph. I went to the hospital only to find Jackjack fine and my oldest brother sitting there. He looked sort of ashen to me when he turned to me and told me to go to the hospital.
I was so scared it was dad. Let me make it clear that for most people my age my dad is like a grandfather agewise. I pulled in and I come face to face with my other brothers. I really start to panic because I know it has to be severe for them to come out of their shells. Job looked at me and said, "She's gone." I stared at him. And may God forgive me for thinking this but my mind flashed with "Oh my God. She killed dad and took his money." I was afraid that dad was telling me to get there because he knew she was about to kill him.
However, I heard dad's voice, but then what was Job talking about. Dad was asking for me. I went to him and he had tears in his eyes. It finally dawned on me. My stepmom hadn't just left this time. She had taken the last resort to get away from everything. Dad hugged me for a long time. He asked me had I talked to Viv who is my stepsister, who is pregnant. I hadn't and I really didn't want to be the one to tell her that her mother was gone.
Everything the next day was a blur for me. I was stunned. My mind kept going to Jackjack, Jonah, John, Jacob, and Viv. What does it take for a mother to not want to raise her children or see her grandchild? It has bothered me all along. It has hit my immediate family, for the most part, hard. My oldest brothers never really had anything to do for her and they wouldn't even go to the funeral so they are staying with Jackjack. The funeral is in Paris, where she was from growing up.
I am in Paris as I write the last part of this blog. We are in a nice hotel because Lance (Viv's husband) said that we would spend the rest of the time here at his house, but he wanted to stay in a hotel for now. I had no problem with staying in a hotel for the night. Chris, of course, hide me a surprise in my luggage. I have a new novel and journal. That man never stops amazing me and I love him more everything day.
I leave you all for now.

New Topics for Blog! Moundville's Native American Festival
I have decided to redo parts of my blog. I am getting rid of the craft and recipe section—but, keeping a "Make Things" so they are all a big section. Taking it's place is the section called Events. I will be doing Alabama and other events that go along with my blog or that I deem interesting. If you have any you want me to write about please let me know.
My first event is an event I attended last year, but am not able to attend this year because of family emergencies and personal setbacks. I enjoyed this event a lot when I attended and I think it is a learning event as well as entertainment. Go all the way to Tuscaloosa to enjoy Moundville's Native American Festival.
The 320-acre park, containing more than 20 mounds built by a community of Native Americans of the Mississippian culture, was designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1964. The site is believed to have been America's largest city north of Mexico 800 years ago. It's an event that has been held for over 20 years. The festival, first held in 1989, began with the mission of teaching schoolchildren about Southeast Native American culture. The festival director says that over the years they have taught over 100,000 people about arts, crafts, and lifeways of the Southeastern Indians. Many of the Native Americans look forward to this event because for many of them it is a homecoming event.
There are many live entertainment specials to pick from such as The Chickasaw Nation Dance Troupe, the Bogue Houma Choctaw Dancers, the Mystic Wind Choctaw Dancers and Lyndon Alec that will demonstrate traditional dances. Injunuity, a Native American Music flue-guitar duo from Oklahoma, will be there with its mix of traditional and modern styles. Other performers are singer-songwriter Michael Jacobs and flutists Billy Whitefox, Sydney Mitchell, Jimmy Yellowhorse and Charlie Mato-Toyela. On Saturday, the Mystic Wind Stickball Players of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians will demonstrate the sport of stickball. Last but not final is Gayle Ross will tell Cherokee stories throughout the week. Ross, a frequent performer at storytelling and folk festivals across the country, is the direct descendant of John Ross, chief of the Cherokee Nation during and after the Trail of Tears. (These are just to name a few.)
The festival has many different things that are for all ages. It's a way to expose people to more culture and for them to realize that there was a time when you could live with the land. They accomplish this by having such stations as living history, arts and craft arbors, target rang, children's area, Knapper's corner, arts market and trader's circle, food courts, and park explorations.
Living history part of the festival is where people can really learn what life was about back then. The past can come to life through sights, sounds, and smells. All kinds of characters, dressed in period clothing, are camped out and wander throughout the park to show what life was like back in the 1400s through early 1800s. In the arts and crafts arbors the Native Americans and other experts show how they created pottery, basketry, beadwork, ancient tools and weapons, silversmithing, fingerweaving, and a lot more. They encourage people to ask question because they want to show how things were done back then without what we call technology. Storytelling and corn husk doll making are available.
Target Range is very cool you can watch the experts throw spears, shoot blowguns, and practice archery skills that they have. Sometimes you might be lucky enough to to watch them competing. They will let some participants actually throw spears and rabbit sticks. They will always have displays of ancient tools, weapons, and hunting and fishing equipment around them. Knapper's Corner is where flintknappers shape arrow and spear points, knives and other tools from stone. They sell their work and are always willing to share their knowledge. Bow maker and blacksmiths can also be found in this area.
Children's area was probably my favorite because the kids get to make shell necklaces, play Indian games, get their face painted, dress up in historic clothing, make headbands and learn how clothing was made from trees. Arts market and trader circle is where fine artists exhibit and sell sculpture, pottery, gourds, baskets, textiles, carvings, flutes, paintings, and prints. Reproductions of handcrafted clothing, jewelry, books, tapes, and many more souvenirs for every pocketbook that comes. Also in the newly renovated museum don't forget the Knotted Bird gifts for more shopping.
In the food courts there will be a wide variety of delicious Indian foods at the main food court. Traditional festival concessions are also available. Near the river is even more food. As far as exploring the park going to the Chieftain's Mound there are experts that will tell you all about the new discoverings happening at Moundville. Or taking a leisure stroll down the boardwalk nature trails. Plus the excavation behind Jones Museum is another thing not to be missed.

I'm backkkkk! Plus: Review: Google Power Search
Hello! Bonjour! Aloha!
I am back from Disney World and Universal Studios! I had a fabulous time while I was gone. I'll write and blog about the gritty details later along with some pictures from the trip.
It is Sunday. I know I did not blog throughout my trip like I promised, but a lot of unexpected surprises happened during the trip and my time was very much consumed.
Anyhow you should know that I love to learn. I love pushing myself to knew limits of knowledge and wisdom all the time. Yes, there is a difference between knowledge and wisdom. That topic is for another blog, however.
I signed up for Google Power Search Course on a whim. I was Googling something and I happened to come across an offer to join their course on how to search Google like a pro. I was a little hesitate to sign up for it since the assignments were due right after I returned from vacation and some of the classes would be posted while I was on vacation.
I am sure glad I went ahead and pushed myself! I learned so much from the courses. Some of the tips and tricks I already knew from much time spent on the Internet. I had been wondering here lately about searching for something without certain other phrases and words popping up with it as well. That was definitely my big lesson that I learned.
I finished the course (all the activities and assignments) in a day. I'm not bragging. For a person that doesn't use Google a lot it will take a couple of days (when they open it back up) because you have to get used to your surroundings of the search engine. I have several friends who rely on Bing and Yahoo! and I just stare at them. "WHY?" I just cannot fathom using anything other than Google now.
I love all Google products. I want to try out their computer and tablet to see how I like them. I constantly checking to see what products that they come out with on a weekly basis. If Google ever goes out of business I'm a going to be lost. I guess I will have to rely on Microsoft.
If Google offers this course again I will definitely recommend it.

Yippee!
Hey Sorry for lack of updates once again. Life is weighing in on me. I have had a major headache for the last two weeks that finally eased up night before last. I'm hoping to get caught up the day of the race. I'll be conditioning that day but will have some down time to get some rest that night.
Jackjack is doing good. He is still getting slightly sick from the chemo, otherwise though he is good and responding well. My stepmom had a family emergency (trust me I know..) and my dad is with Jackjack right now while she is in Paris but my older brother and cousin is helping my dad.
Tumblr will be updated throughout my vacation because one of my best friends is stepping up to the plate to take on that challenge of my Tubmlr. She is the one the interview was with this past Friday.

Looking Past the Bad
Ok so this past Labor Day weekend was full of adventures. I can't stop smiling if I wanted to right now. Even with everything else weighing on me, I'm not letting it get me down.
First, Alabama slammed Michigan. Cowboy Stadium was incredible. Erica and Constance got to tour the locker rooms (including the cheerleader one.) It was very cool. We had a blast night. We stayed up until 4:30 a.m. talking and having a blast. From Esme needed Rockabye Esme to Ridge grinding on Maddy. It was an awesome ride in the RV. I honestly felt like I was in a band on a tour bus. Sad I know but it was super cool to me.
Recreational Vehicle we were in was one of the largest ones you can buy and it used to be Chris's grandfathers. He was always big into going to all of the Alabama football games in a RV and tailgating so Chris is going to pursue the tradition. We enjoyed the trip in it so I'm hoping there is a lot more trips to come in it.
Second, I received news that Chris and I are going to be going to the Holy Lands at the end of winter! I'll post more on that later, though. I'll go into detail and everything on Saturday. We had signed up for it back in July and I had almost forgotten about it. We will be gone for two weeks. I'm super excited about doing such a rare thing.
The reason we weren't sure was because there was a lot of turmoil about being healthy enough. You have to have good insurance, money to pay for it, and be able to get the required medical exams. Chris and I are cleared and daddy is going to pay for half of it. Honestly, going to Disney World is more expensive but I would have no idea how to get around Israel so to me its an once in a Lifetime opportunity.
Third, I got to see my Jackjack! Seeing him was amazing. He was super sleepy. He was covered in tubes and was laying there in nothing but his diaper that they couldn't even close because of all of the tubing. Dad assured me that some of the tubing would eventually be removed me. He sat up and gave me hugs and even took his pacifier out to give me kisses.
I had bought him some pajamas and onsie that said "Don't Mess with Texas." He was so sleepy so he just held my hand the entire time I was there. Dad caught me off guard asking wasn't my friend Glimmer a beauty pageant winner. My dad knowing any of my friends names is astonishing. I nodded wondering if I should be shaking my head. He said she was dressed like Belle in the children's activity center. Sure enough it was her. I thought it was really awesome that she would do that.
And finally, Chris gave me a huge shock. I was exhausted when I got home from seeing Jackjack. Chris forced me to get ready. Blindfolded me and put me in the car and drove a very short distance. He picked me up out of the car. I'm skeptical at this point because he made me get dressed up, blindfolded me and we had drove a very short distance. Then I heard him ring a doorbell. I went straight stiff. I was slightly embarrassed and almost furious because I had no idea who's house we would be at when I would open my eyes.
The door opened, but I didn't hear any voices or anything. Chris carried me in which was embarrassing me even more and I started to grumble about that under my breath. Then he put me on my feet. Which just for information tip to other guys don't let your girl wear heels and blindfold her. She was most defiantly fall. I was gripped onto Chris thankfully. He took off my blindfold. I was staying in a huge living room. It was gorgeous. I turned to Chris and asked whose house it was....
"Mine," was the word that rolled off his tongue. I went wide eyed. "What? When? How? Oh my God." Was what was rolling off my tongue. Sure enough Chris now only lives 15 minutes from my house. I was amazed. He had bought a house. It's a new subdivision called Nature Way. It's huge and just enough land. The house has 5 bedrooms, 4 and half baths, fireplaces, basement, slant attic, circular staircase in the foyer, gameroom, dining room, study, breakfast nook, kitchen, living room, 2 car garage, screened back porch with swing, mini apartment over garage and family room.
I walked around forever. Just let me say this because I know when Chris reads this he will bust out laughing, but the living room reminded me of the ballroom in Disney's Beauty and the Beast. The windows go up the entire wall and there is a chandelier. I was so amazed and was giddy with excitement. Chris has a lot of plans for it. His brothers helped him get it because of another surprise they have in mind. So things are going to be amazing around here a lot.

A Surprise for Tomorrow
Ok so first true week of school is over and it's been a week. God and I have talked through a lot of it. I've tried listening while also listening to my professors and advisers. I can't do that. So, I've been trying to take some what of a break at the very least 5 minutes and just telling God "Look I can't do this without you." Tiny prayers do it. I'm telling you. Major mess ups with advising and God fixed all of them. One of them I was really starting to panic and I told myself stop listening to the professor and stop panicking. I prayed and by the end of the class time it was resolved. So for those of you who have been praying for me as I go back to school, thank you!
I'm sure you are all wondering about Jackjack, if you have been keeping up with me through Facebook and on here. He is doing fine. They are taking his bone marrow. After reading about how they would do it I cried. I have a feeling I'm going to cry a lot. Not because I don't think its fair, but because of the pain he is having to go through. Just please keep him in your prayers as my family and him start this journey.
We leave for Dallas in a few hours. The first football game for the University of Alabama is being held in Cowboy Stadium. Many of my family and friends are going together. That's why this post is going to be cut short for today because I need to finish packing and get moving. I do apologize and I promise a surprise tomorrow!

Caboodle
My stepmom had one of these hard shell make-up holders when I was little. It was green and purple and closed with light pink heart snap. She had kept her make-up in it, but she noticed I loved to play with the box and she put her make up away in a cabinet and gave me the caboodle! I put my paper dolls in there to keep up with all the pieces especially Disney's and Barbie's their paper dolls came with shoes.
On a side note, here lately I have been buying paper dolls on ebay and in-stores. I pray that one day I will have a daughter that they loved paper dolls as much as I did when I was a child. If not then perhaps I will have a niece that can enjoy them.
Anyhow, I never had make-up to put in it even when I got older. I know it went on to house Legos for my brother and I believe he broke it. It wasn't until the other day when I was going through my Make-Up Circle on Google+ and one of the make-up woman I follow had a post that made me squeal with delight! Phyrra was talking about a giveaway that Caboodle will be doing a give away when they get to 200k likes on Facebook. They are at 194k right now, so I'm urging you, go like Caboodles now!
There will be 25 winners that will receive many Caboodle products as well as some other sponsor goodies. However, with the trips I have coming up I can't wait until then to see if I'm even a winner. I need something to carry my make-up supplies in now for trips. I bought mine this morning while Chris was walking Abby before we both left for work. I bought the Caboodle Grande Train Case in Adore. It is houndstooth!
I also ordered a bag to carry hair products and other make-up needs in as well. I ordered the Caboodle 'It' bag in Le Sophistique which is really several bags inside as well but you can take out and mix in what bags you do or don't want to carry.
So I am pretty excited about our Disney trips coming up. Plus these will be great for the weekends that we go to tailgate. However, I am thinking of getting one like I used to have even though it won't be two toned. I think it will be a nice childhood reminder. Who knows that might be where I keep those paper dolls until it is time to use them. :)

It's the Most Wonderful Time....
OF THE YEAR!!!!
Nope this is isn't about Christmas, this is my other religion! Well another one of my religions!
Trust me I've been going to these games since I was 3 years old. I love the feel of the stadium shaking, the crazy people before the game. I've gotten up at 4 in the morning and sat outside under a tent talking to random people, but we all have one thing in common love for the Tide. It is a very emotional day every Saturday.
So my post for today since this is Saturday and is suppose to be on things happening in the future? Oh you guessed it! Chris has got us tickets to all but 2 games and one we can't go to! I am so freaking excited. Chris has awesome season tickets anyhow since his grandfather started getting season tickets years ago but we are talking away games too! That's right my dearies this lady here is heading to Dallas Cowboy Stadium!

We aren't going to Arkansas or Missouri which is fine and Chris has already sold the Ole Miss game ticket. Sad he doesn't have the tickets yet and people are already paying out the nose for it.
Chris has already requested no Friday nights or to work on ANY Saturdays. We will be RVing with everyone else since Chris and Frankie have joint ownership of the RV. We might even bring Frankie with us. Now I told Chris I do NOT mind if Frankie is feeling up to it to let him go instead of me. I'll be fine at home doing whatever.
Nope this is isn't about Christmas, this is my other religion! Well another one of my religions!
Yep the new American past time. The state where I live make it a point to make a religion. Trust me I know people who have a hard time being friends during the football season because they don't go for the same team. Though my favorite are the couples that are split. A couple that I count as some of my closest friends are like that. She is a DIE-HARD, Obsessive LSU fan (plus she was a cheerleader for them) and her husband played for Auburn Tigers. Yet they are the couple that has been about each other forever. They have so much fun together. Trust me you will need stitches if you hang out with them during the football season.
What team do I pull for? Well the one that has the most National Championships and not to mention I went to school there for a year as well. Ala-Freakin'-Bama! I get goosebumps watching the pregame videos because if you are at an SEC Alabama game... You are a part of history!
I love the stadium vibe. It goes crazy when you see tackles from years ago you can hear the whole stadium going "Ooooh - Ooooopmf!" Watch below (and this is just this years A-Day game):
The thing that gives me the most chill bumps is 5 things 1) Hearing Bear Bryant say "I'd like people to remember me as a winner, because I ain't never been nothing but a winner." And trust me when you hear him say that it goes crazy. 2) The Million Dollar Band playing the Alabama Fight Song when the team takes the field. 3) Sweet Home Alabama with it's Roll Tide Roll thrown in there 4) Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer give 'em Hell Alabama! (Music to my ears!) 5) The elephant on the jumbotron.
Below is my honorable mention chilling.... THIS DUDE Rocks!

Quite Remarkable....
Yep 100 degree weather, sun beating down and I spent the day at Warp Tour. It was so worth it. I'm exhausted. I was really thankful for my iPad though during the bands that I didn't care for hearing their music. I did have a good time though. I met the girl that I watch religiously do hair tutorials and is also the one I won the giveaway from a couple of weeks ago. She was so awesome.
Apparently, an old friend of mine has become OBSESSED with my blog and basically me. I didn't realize it until she literally quoted my blog. So shout out to her. You know who you are.
Anyhow, yes I have become obsessed with Pottermore. I wasn't very happy my first time on it and I deleted my account and started from scratch and in a better mood. I know have a new wand and was sorted in.... wait for it.... GRYFFINDOR!!! And Chris got Slytherin when he played this morning. It is awesome having a boyfriend that isn't as obsessed but still obsessed nonetheless.
So we are spending tonight and tomorrow in Atlanta. I have a couple of things I want to do over here because when I get back I have to start cracking down on getting back into school mode. Which just so everyone knows most of my classes are online except for a Mondays and Wednesdays night class and a Thursdays night class. I am taking 5 classes so 15 hours this semester. I have to get my books and things. I am excited, however, because this is something I think will help me grow.
Blog updates.... Pottermore, Tumblr, and Twitter owls can be found in the right hand corner now. New music has been added. Oh the Products I Use updates almost every day though there is a new section I've been meaning to add. As well as some make-up products to add to the page. On the side now there is a Widget that shows books those are the books I recommend so I will be taking down the section marked books I recommend and probably will be changing that to movies. Also I have accomplished over 75 things on my summer Bucket List. It's more like 80 things at this point. On Wednesdays now there is an extra category that posts can fall into on that day which is awareness. I'll be posting about the organizations I give to and that I think are important.
So new in my life, Chris has gave me two rings. This is an odd sort of story. He had originally gave me a ring with a heart with a cross in it. It was too big and while he was at the jewelry store his eyes "fell on the most perfect promise ring." (Those are his exact words.) Now I loved the cross with heart rings but I am just speechless at my infinity ring. To me in represents a lot more. I know I know... *GASPS* But it does. Infinity means a lot of things to me like, God's love, Chris's love, and the word ALWAYS comes to mind.... Yep Harry Potter fan through and through.
I am sort of ready to get home, I miss my animals and work. Well I'll be back soon enough. I've fixing to go enjoy the pool of the hotel. Check back tomorrow for a post that means a lot to me.

It's Not Bieber Fever It's Baby Fever and Couple Fun
Or at least around my family and friends it is. Its not "baby baby baby oooooh" it is more of "baby baby baby n-yess." There are so many in my family and friends that its hard to keep up with who is how many weeks and things; who wants what kind of birth and this and that. Though, I will admit reading this stuff for everyone has peaked my interest in knowing about babies which helps me in the future for when I decide it's time to start a family.
It has really opened my eyes to things that I never thought about having a baby. So many things factor into having a baby and providing for it. What kind of products to buy, what the mother can do to protect her baby even more in the womb, and what kind of medical attention should it receive, etc. Though, one this is for certain about me; that I'm waiting until two rings on my left hand.
And, on that subject, things are even more amazing since I wrote about Chris the last time. Yep, in two days it has gotten even more amazing....
| Couples' Bucket List |
If you click on World Travel list I have now accomplish number 1 on that side!!! Yes it came true on Tuesday night and also in front of it too. Which makes Chris even more amazing to me. Which after reading this article.....Only one thing was running through my head.... Couple Bucket List..... Sigh. Okay minus the sex side but that can come after I have those two rings.
I learned something this weekend. I'm no longer a girl. I'm actually a woman at this point. Therefor, I demanding more respect. That's why when someone got up in my face about how Chris couldn't be the way he was it was where I was just naive I slammed it back at them. He might not be perfect, but besides the man that walked across the water during the storm tell me who has been. The best thing is that Chris believes that man walked on the water as well!
With that being said tomorrow will be a month with Chris and like I have said this relationship has already brought so much to my life. I'm hoping to deepen what we have been making a Relationship Bucket List of things we both want to do together. All times of the year so this might be a long list when we are finished.
I am looking forward to seeing where he wants to take the relationship and how to make it grow. I think it will set a standard for us. Standards are set so people can rise above them.

My Mom, Love, and Travel!
Bonjour! Hello again from Paris!
I am still having a fabulous time this weekend/week!
Most of you know that we seen Westlife in concert on Saturday! Then Sunday we went to London! I have been to London before but this time I'm an adult and it was wonderful. We went to Kings Cross. And I got to see Platform 9 3/4 which was exhilarating for me. We enjoyed a few other things and then we departed for Paris the same day! Home for me!
We haven't taken many pictures. I'm the type of a girl to just enjoy something instead of being glued behind my camera. Life is better that way. We had a very interesting time on the plane over here. We watched PS I Love You. Chris also got us each a glass of wine and assorted fruits and cheeses which it was nice because it reminded me of our first date. Afterwards we both fell asleep. I woke up to him leaning over on me. I have to say it was a lot nicer flight to Dublin than to Vancouver. Though that might just be because I hate having to swap planes.
The hotel the first night was cozy. We stayed at the only hotel that wasn't booked up and no I am divulging how much that cost us on here. We stayed at The Gresham Hotel if you really want to be nosy and look. We have a one bed standard room. When I say cozy I mean it. It beautiful and you could tell it was a 4 star hotel. We went to jewelry shops where I bought a few pieces of Celtic jewelry. We had an amazing time buying sweaters. I found amazing fabrics that I'm sure you cannot find in the US! He brought an extra hard case suitcase just for souvenirs that we buy which I think was an amazing idea.
Most of you know that I have never met my mother nor her family except the sister that raised me until she died as well. So I have gotten to know my mother's family here. We have talked about my mother and I have been given some of her belongings. Which is very interesting to see some of the items that she didn't carry with her to the States when she married my dad. They have given me everything I can take with me back home. Which is a pearl necklace. A brush set. A hand muff, which is a family heirloom. A couple pieces of her clothing (REAL PARISIAN VINTAGE!) A picture of her and her siblings.
I finally have pictures of her. Even one of her and my dad with my brothers. Though the only brother I share her with is Jared and he doesn't remember her either. I have been scribbling a letter to him telling him everything that I can remember that they tell me. I have loved some of the stories that they described of her. Though, her mom (my grandmother who I have never met until Sunday) guided me upstairs and handed me a box of books. All of them belonging to my mother. Some are her favorite novels. But there are 5 leather bound books that I have cried over and through....
Her diaries. Apparently my mom loved to write and share her life as much as I do. She left half a diary when she left Paris at 4 months pregnant with me. I now know that because its wrote in her diary. I know where my writing ability comes from now. Its so amazing to actually read something she wrote, to hear her expressed her emotions.
I have showed Chris the place where I grew up. My favorite places to go as a child. I showed him where Disneyland Paris is. He keeps asking me am I alright. I am in a way. I just cannot believe after all these years its him that brings me here and found my family. My dad approves of him and mom's family is amazed that he brought me here and helped find them for me. They thought for sure we were engaged.
Chris speaks volumes to me without ever saying a word. He never pushes anything. The farthest thing he ever speaks about in the future is next week, and sometimes Christmas but that's his favorite holiday and he goes all out for it. He has been the upmost gentleman that I could ever ask for. He learned enough French to be courteous to everyone we meet which totally too me by surprise. I can't help but feel something for him because he isn't over trying to get something trust me he has had plenty of opportunities to mention it or try if he did.
He can take anything plain and turn into something amazing. His creativity is a match for my own and it intrigues me. So yes I am going to admit on 3 days until our one month of going steady that I do like him a lot to admit I'm starting to fall for him. He makes me smile bigger than I normally do. I love his random facts and quotes of the day email. Plus, he doesn't mind letting everything be about me at times. Really and truly he encourages it. Though, we have days where its all about him. Which is fun and exciting for me.
He just amazes me with his intelligence and wit. I was literally bawling my eyes out after watching a video dedicated to Snape and Lily. I love their story so much! I was crying and trying to calm down and looked at Chris and said he was my Snape. He said I was his Lily and he came over and put his hands on my face and said, "Just don't ever find James." I was Niagra Falls after that. I guess that's what gets me with Chris. He is so intelligent even when he is being flirtatious and charming.
We are staying at an incredible hotel right now too. Its wonderful being back here. I will always cherish this trip no matter what happens in my future. I'm writing this in the park leaned up against Chris with the wind encircling us and cloudy overcast giving the us a perfect outside day.
I will be back home in the states tomorrow. Tomorrow's post will be a bit tricky so I may not be posting on tomorrow since we will be up in the air most of the day.
