New Surprise!

We all feel like we have something to say on a subject. Some people are too shy or polite to say what's in their hearts and what is on their mind. Vherbal, a Christian rapper, is a family friend that raps, can do both of those things. Like many people before him he felt the need to challenge me on Biblical things. After a nice long talk on judgement and support (and a really nasty thunderstorm for him) he started talking to me often.

He said he felt like God had put him through a situation that made him think about life. Vherbal is and was 22 when his accident happened. He was engulf in flames of a burning room; burning his lower legs up. Facing many trials and troubles, he decided it was time to give it up to God. While he does have music that was secular, do not judge on that. We all have our pasts.

On August 30, 2012, I was privileged to get to interview Vherbal. We had to do it over Facebook because of our distances and we started the interview at 9:45 pm and it lasted for almost an hour and half. I hope you enjoy what I learned about Vherbal.

How did you come with your name?
"I've always been a talker. I hardly ever shut up. When It comes to music I can rap or song or talk about it all day long. I am very Vherbal."
Why the extra letter from the original spelling?
"I believe the extra letter makes the name stand out. Plus 7 is my lucky number."
What inspires you to write songs?
"Everyday life. My past experiences. Other peoples stories."
Why a Christian aspect of rapping?
"Hip-hop is such an influential culture. Today's youth is all about these rappers who brag about money stacked to the roof and how they pull women. As an artist I feel it is highly important to set a positive image across and feed kids a positive message. Money will not be when puts you in heaven nor will women. I feel it is a major responsibility of mine to connect with fans and show them the amount of love and grace Jesus Christ has for each and every person on earth."
What age do you think will listen to your music the most?
"I could only pray that all ages will, but realistically, I believe it will be more of the younger generation."
What was the best advice you've ever been given?
"No matter what you have done in your part people are going to judge you. Keep your head up cause God's judgment is the ONLY judgment that counts."
Who are your musical inspirations?
"Oh man, Nine Lashes, KJ-52, Skillet, Manafest, Yumgtown, and yes even Eminem."
Why do each of them inspire you?
"Eminem is very bold and just does not care who judges him. He doesn't judge by sex or race. I love the way Nine Lashes rocks out and I love the way they put out a positive message. Yungtown has taught me a lot about the recording process and he is very passionate about Christ. Skillet is just awesome and Manafest has great delivery."
What do you think about while recording and performing?
"While recording, I hope everybody feels this track as much as I do. I hope I make this track as much of hit as I imagine it to be while recording." When performing I'm thinking "DON"T CHOKE ZACC!" Then I move on to wondering if the crowd it getting anything out of my performance and I hope these people will dedicate their lives to Christ if they haven't already."
Honestly, how do you react to change and hard situations?
"I believe change is a good thing, but honestly I react like my world has just crumble. I'm like, 'Why didn't I get the memo?' Hard situations; I'll admit I get a little ticked off, but I have to remember to pray about it and give my problems to God."
What can we expect from you in the coming months?
"You can defiantly expect to see my face everywhere you turn. Just kidding. Seriously though; You can count on a full length album coming out with a lot more material. I am in the process putting together an online bible study every Friday"
Favorite Bible story or verse?
"'So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.' John 8:7 It is perfect! basically saying Everybody has sinned so no one on this earth is worthy enough to judge somebody."
What are your other passions beside music?
"Working on cars. spending time with my 11 year old brother. My favorite hobby besides music is playing Xbox360."
Where would you love to perform?
"I really don't know. I haven't really thought about it. I guess anywhere with a venue full a youth."
Speaking of youth, what words of advice would you give to kids in middle school about life?
"No matter what your class mates say is cool be yourself and be you!"
What organizations to do you support and advocate for?
"You can find all of them on my Twitter: Click Here. There are just to many to name."
How often do you practice?
"Lately everyday. I try to practice 3-4 times a week"
Will you do dance songs?
"I try to do up beat songs you can dance to but I will never make up my own dance."
So no "Do the Vherby" dance move?
"Oh lord no. I can't dance."
What kind of embarrassing songs or songs that they didn't expect to find you might someone catch you listening to?
"Call Me Maybe by Carley Ray Jespen"
What is your favorite junk food?
"Jujy Fruits."
He is a very down to earth guy. He loves support of the fans. I really recommend following him and liking his music.

A Surprise for Tomorrow

Ok so first true week of school is over and it's been a week. God and I have talked through a lot of it. I've tried listening while also listening to my professors and advisers. I can't do that. So, I've been trying to take some what of a break at the very least 5 minutes and just telling God "Look I can't do this without you." Tiny prayers do it. I'm telling you. Major mess ups with advising and God fixed all of them. One of them I was really starting to panic and I told myself stop listening to the professor and stop panicking. I prayed and by the end of the class time it was resolved. So for those of you who have been praying for me as I go back to school, thank you!

I'm sure you are all wondering about Jackjack, if you have been keeping up with me through Facebook and on here. He is doing fine. They are taking his bone marrow. After reading about how they would do it I cried. I have a feeling I'm going to cry a lot. Not because I don't think its fair, but because of the pain he is having to go through. Just please keep him in your prayers as my family and him start this journey.

We leave for Dallas in a few hours. The first football game for the University of Alabama is being held in Cowboy Stadium. Many of my family and friends are going together. That's why this post is going to be cut short for today because I need to finish packing and get moving. I do apologize and I promise a surprise tomorrow!

Rolling with Crohnies...

Two weeks ago for an awareness post I did one on Crohn's disease. I wrote what Crohn's patients go through. I think this time I will go further into detail on what they need and why.

Like I said Chris's triplet Frankie has one of the severest cases in the southeast. He has been to UAB (he got zero help there), Atlanta (best help he has had so far), Nashville, and several other places. He is living in a assisted living place. He still loves baskets for surprises. He doesn't care much for flowers.

With Crohn's patients do not give food unless you know specifically that they can eat that food. With Frankie he can eat cookies all day and every day and never have a flare up from cookies. Now the stress from something might make him have ones but it's never cookies. He loves cookies more than anything with the exception of his family and babies. A website, that is also an app for iPhone and iPad users, called Everyday Health helps many people with different kinds of disease. They also have apps for certain foods to eat as well as activities.

So at any rate, I am taking a stand and not letting it be such a taboo subject on my blog. Also for more information from someone who deals with Crohn's check out RJ Taylor's blog who is not much older than Frankie and is slightly younger than Erica.

I have searched high and low for lists of things Crohn's patients like/need/want when they are dealing with a flare up. I will not post medicine to give patients because I'm sure that's something that each individual patients wants to pick out. I have come across many, however, I really hate that it is such a taboo subject and sooo many people think there is just one type of Crohn's intensity. Plus, there is information on how work places don't realize the effect that Crohn's, and diseases like it, have on the patients, aka their employees.

The number one thing I have seen most common: Toilet paper. I seen several people who get excited because their loved ones brings home luxurious toilet paper for them to use. The reason why its so important? Because they have to use the restroom- a lot. We aren't talking like 5 or 6 times, we are talking close to twenty or more. Sometimes patients of this disease are told to get a special foot stool to help them evacuate their bowels without putting strain on them.

Wipes were also among the top things I discovered that Crohn's patients wants. They also like for them to soft and plenty. Some may want medicated so ask before sending.

Any kind of heat wrap I promise will be well received by a Crohnie. Even if it's in the summer. Hot water bags, heating pad, heating bags, herbal bags, etc they will use it. In keep in that note they like blankets as well.

Depending on the patient they may love new underwear but that depends solely on your relationship with that person. I know it's well received by my two friends that have it but yet they both have a good sense of humor and are open with everyone. If anything else get them a fun tshirt, 100% so it will be light on them or pajama or lounge pants.

They also like pillows that keep cold throughout the night. Crohnies are prone to getting night sweats. So herbal packs that can be heated or put in the freezer is also well received. The same thing goes for hot water bottles. The name of the pillows are called Chillows.

Crosswords, word searches, Sudoku, or bathroom books, because they love having something to do and read while they are having to spend hours in the bathroom. Frankie suggested something to hold pens, books and games as well. He said it's aggravating having to grab those items when the need strikes.

Frankie even said if you are thinking birthday or Christmas, to get him a tablet with a charging cord that is long to reach to the electrical socket. Some of the other patients have said at least a portable DVD player. This once again is because there are days where they are stuck in the bathroom, literally all day.

Back and foot massagers are great for Crohies as well. A back massager is a good gift for anyone, but it will be especially welcome for anyone who has Crohns or IBD. Arthritis is a common complication, and it affects about 25% of patients. Aches and pains can really get you down, but applying a little heat and some massage can really do wonders. And while getting a massage for that aching back, why not pay attention to the feet, which can also be affected by arthritis. When your feet hurt, the rest of your body can feel great, but you just can't get past those tired dogs. Foot massagers, dry or wet, really work well to make you feel better all over.

Though there is one thing I love with the Crohnie's.... tea. Green tea especially. Now not all Crohnies love tea so double check. However, both of mine do. They both love tea so much. So defiantly try tea with the Crohnie in your life.

Test of Faith

So I almost did something yesterday that I know I would have regretted. I almost did a pity post. Yep, me who always tells people to be strong and let God handle it. Well, to show I'm human God felt the need to need to test my faith yesterday.

Let me begin with saying my one year old baby brother, known as Jackjack (No his name is not Jack or Jackson but Jackjack), has been diagnosed with childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Yes its treatable and even better that they caught it so early. However, yesterday, they weren't sure what kind or even if he did have cancer. I was very upset.

Second thing, school was awful! I am grateful for the opportunity to continue my education. With that being said, when I sign up for classes I don't want a million problems. Like the possibility that my adviser wasn't suppose to put me in a class. Plus, the brilliance of them not having a book I need and also the beauty of me trying to get a book cheaper and I need it by certain time. I will work everything out in the morning before class.

I took all of that yesterday plus a special meeting at school along with a headache. I was in a bad mood. I do think I have some sinus (which just adds to the list) but I took an Advil and told everyone I was going for a walk. I did. I put my earphones in and walked. I prayed and thought. I sat down and cried. I let go of my pity party and told God "I get it. Practice what you preach." I felt a million times better. I walked my routine run twice more.

I was happy by the time I got home. Even today I'm happy. Am I happy Jackjack has cancer? No I hate that. Am I grateful that God at least made sure it was a treatable cancer? Oh yes. It's a blessing. There are so many blessings that I take for granted. Yeah there are people better off than me, but why dwell on what I don't have and be grateful for what I do have.

I come home. That's three blessings in three words that so many people take for granted. One you are alive. Two you are able to get up and move. Three you have a place to live. We all have pains, suffering, obstacles in our lives. People that think their problems are bigger than someone else's are crazy. Most of the time we have been through the same problems. Its how we overcame and fixed the problem that is the difference. Some people say they had to through it longer again it how you handle it. No matter how long you have or had a certain problem someone has dealt with for longer than you I guarantee it.

Frankie is a prime example of something I love. I have researched Crohn's and shown him several of them. I was comparing them and something struck me. Almost all of them said I am suffering Crohn's. I've never heard Frankie say that. He laughed when I questioned him about that. "You are the first person to notice that. I don't suffer from it. I just have it. Yeah, I hurt, bleed, puke, etc. But I'm living." I love that. People like that are what really makes you want to keep jumping up and living life. Not these people that talk about how they can't go on just because something doesn't go their way. None of us have things go exactly how we picture it.

Skin Typing

I have recently acquired a love for make-up. I was quick to discover that there are certain ways to keep your skin looking healthy, even after cleansing. In finding that I also discovered something else, certain products that my friends raved about just didn't work for me. I learned why, I have a different skin type than them.

I strongly suggest going to a dermatologist. I learned so much by going to mine here in my area. Like with any doctor you need to be honest. Not honest as possible, just plain honest will help you get the best care. Write down medications, what you eat, and what you use on your skin before going because all of those factor in to what your skin looks like.

There are four major skin types. They are based on how your skin feels and looks. For further information on your skin, like I said I highly recommend a dermatologist.

If you skin belongs to a normal type, the tissue will not reveal any traces of oil. Your skin should feel vibrant, elastic, and supple. Normal skin is the least problematic type.It looks clean and smooth and has a good circulation and healthy complexion. Even with a minimum care, it will look good well into your advanced age.

If your skin is dry, the paper (regular paper sometimes will work, but beauty oil absorbing blotting paper will work better) will be clean, too, but your face skin will feel flaky, dry, and tight after you have wiped it. Dry skin can easily develop a sallow tone, wrinkles, and fine pores, and it is very prone to aging and irritating. It might still look great on a young person, but, to keep it healthy, you should apply thorough care and use regular skin or beauty treatment with natural masks and moisturizers.

If you have oily skin, the paper will have spots of facial oil on it, corresponding to the areas of your cheeks, nose, and forehead.Oily skin is problematic – it usually looks greasy, thick, coarse, and shiny, has enlarged pores, and tends to break into acne. A good thing, though, is that oily skin is not prone much to aging and wrinkling. Careful cleaning, minimizing of carbohydrate consumption, and avoiding rich creams can be helpful in improving the quality of oily skin.

If you skin is combination, like that of most women, the tissue will have traces of oil coming from your nose and forehead, but will be clean in the areas that touched your cheeks. Combination skin has patches of both dry and oily skin, and it requires different types of care in relation to particular facial areas. Dry zones, which are usually located on the cheeks and around the eyes, should be treated with rich creams and moisturizers, while oily areas, usually on the forehead and nose, will benefit from frequent and thorough cleaning.

Monica: I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I should probably leave you girls alone.
Ross: Yeah, laugh all you want but in ten minutes we’re gonna have younger looking skin!
Knowing what kind of you helps you give the best care to your skin. Caring for your skin through products, food, what medicines you take and also the rest of your health. So you are doing your whole body a favor by finding out.

Happy Monday!

Review: Designing Women

My friend and I have been watching a show that I love dearly. A few of my other friends and family love it as well. I find it to be a show that can make me laugh. It defiantly helped me learned southern ways as a child. My first stepmom loved watching the show. She would watch it after watching the Golden Girls at night on Lifetime during our summer stays in the United States.

When we moved to the US for good and with my new stepmom I had completely forgot about Designing Women until I was watching TV Land one night and there it was. I quickly got up and Googled it. I watched a few videos there. It made me crestfallen when I saw that they weren't on DVD. It wasn't until my second year of college they release the complete first season.

I love all seven seasons but I am defiantly partial to the first five. My favorite season is defiantly season 4. I am not alone in that voting. So what is all the hype about this show? Well it has comedy, different characters than any other show. Most show have family with conflicting problems. This was about coworkers that were so close they could be sisters, though two of them were.

Julia Sugarbaker, who serves as the head of Sugarbaker's Design Firm, can best be described as a left-liberal feminist with a very outspoken point of view. She is very quick to speak her mind, sometimes without even knowing all the facts. One thing can be said for sure, Julia is very passionate and stands by her convictions. She was played by Dixie Carter, who was an amazing actress. She fit into her role well as Julia Sugarbaker. Her real husband plays her boyfriend in the first five seasons.

Suzanne's mother Perky told everyone that Suzanne would grow up to be the center of attention, and she was correct. Suzanne revels in the attention -- which is probably what led her into the beauty pageant circles. She believes that beauty is the key to success in life, and that she is -- of course -- the most beautiful of all. Suzanne has won eleven beauty titles ranging from "Miss Georgia World" to "Miss Atlanta Arboretum." She comes from a wealthy Georgia family, and, having grown up in country clubs and in the company of governors, Suzanne dates many elderly, but wealthy, men. It isn't unusual for her dates to cancel due to a broken hip or a stint in intensive care, which is ammunition for a multitude of sarcastic comments from her mouthy older sister,Julia Sugarbaker. Delta Burke was extraordinary at portraying the essence of Suzanne. Her real husband plays her ex husband which to me is hilarious.

Mary Jo Shively is a devoted mother, a meticulous worker, and a loyal friend -- and probably the character whose personality changes the most during the course of the series. During the first season, the newly divorced Mary Jo is extremely shy and easily intimidated. However, as her dealings with her children, men and the business world start to bring her out of her shell, Julia Sugarbaker seems to be her biggest influence. By Season Seven, she has studied under "The Terminator" and can easily give Julia a run for her money. Annie Potts sure had an amazing time learning to grow with her character.

Charlene Frazier was raised a strict Baptist in the small town of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She is the eldest of thirteen children born to Norvelle "Bud" Frazier and Ione "Dot" Hogg. Her naive and trusting personality is equally obnoxious and endearing, and she has the biggest heart of anyone her co-workers have ever known. Though it has been known to get the ladies in trouble on occasion, Charlene's naive trust in people allows her to see the world from such a romantic perspective. She was even naive enough not to realize that all her friends growing up with were engaging in sex --- despite a pact to save themselves until marriage. (She finds out later from her best high school friend Monette, who --- to her surprise --- has become the madam of a brothel). Jean Smart still laughs about them pulling off phony southern accents. Plus her real time husband plays Mary Jo's on and off boyfriend.

Anthony Bouvier starts out as Sugarbaker's delivery man and then eventually becomes a full partner in the firm. Prior to working at Sugarbakers he had not had the easiest life. His mother, a drug addict, left him in the care of his grandmother when he was two weeks old. A strict, but loving, school teacher, Dondi -- as Anthony calls his grandmother -- now lives in Memphis, Tennessee. Anthony's father is located by his co-workers as a birthday gift for Anthony on his thirtieth birthday. His name is Charles Clarence Monroe and he lives in New Orleans. At first, Anthony is not too pleased by the reunion, but finally decides to get to know his dad. Anthony has brothers and sisters scattered all over the country, but he rarely mentions them.  Meshach Taylor still gets called "Black man!" because of this show.

Bernice Clifton is the addled best friend of Suzanne and Julia's mother, Perky Sugarbaker. After Perky moves to Japan, the ladies look after the widow Mrs. Clifton at their mother's request. But keeping up with Bernice can be extremely difficult since she has an arterial flow problem above the neck that causes her to behave rather outrageously. Bernice sends the group health tips and enters everyone in contests. She's been known to phone Suzanne to say, "if you're not going to eat all the food in your refrigerator, why don't you just put it in a cab and send it over to me?" Bernice lives in a retirement community called Hillcrest Leisure Land, and, since she is easily bored there, makes frequent visits to Sugarbakers for the afternoon. After a while, the ladies become used to Bernice's eccentricities --- often delegating the responsibility of entertaining her to Anthony. Alice Ghostley to me will always be Bernice.

Julia and Suzanne's cousin, Allison Sugarbaker, shows up in Season Six after buying Suzanne's share of Sugarbakers. The ladies are under the impression that Allison is to be a silent partner, but she shows up to take over the firm, insisting that she has the controlling interest in the company. Julia Duffy was never one of my favorite actresses and that might be why I have such a problem with her on Designing Women.

Recent divorcee Carlene Frazier Dobber is everything her older sister Charlene Stillfield is -- tenfold! Originally in Atlanta to start over after her divorce, she takes over the office work at Sugarbakers when Charlene's husband Bill transfers the family to England, acquiring the position as "baby" of the firm.Though she is so much like her sister, naive and trusting does not begin to describe Carlene. She looks with wonder on Sugarbakers as well as everything else in Atlanta, having never really been outside her hometown of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Unfortunately this also means that she does not have the grace and style that Charlene has acquired over the years. Carlene is basically still a backwoods hick. The idea that her classless ex-husband oozes charm in the way that she feels he does turns the stomach of her co-workers, but her sweet innocence and genuine nature warms their hearts. Jan Hooks did a fantastic job of making the character Carlene come alive. She defiantly made the transition that Jean Smart left off.

And last but not least, Bonnie Jean Poteet makes her debut in the final season of the series. B.J. brings a welcome down-to-earth air and wit to the firm amidst all the everyday drama of her co-workers. Despite all of her money, it is the simple things that amuse her.B.J. finds nothing more entertaining than people. She loves to push their buttons and especially revels in the bizarre personality quirks of her co-workers. Though very opinionated, she never allows her difference of opinion to affect the way she feels about a person or how she treats them. She does, however, enjoy watching a person get all flustered -- sometimes purposely pushing the necessary buttons to get the show started, and then tempering the situation with her own brand of wit and sarcasm. Julia, especially, is B.J.'s favorite target. She knows the Julia is very left-liberal, and B.J. loves to bring up subjects that she knows will ruffle Julia's feathers. Played by Judith Ivey, who really is from Texas, did an amazing job on coming onto the show and making more laughs.

So yes you all of these characters up and you have a hilarious sitcom that you must watch. I highly recommend it. They talk and discuss all topics that normal tv shows don't talk about. Plus, it is set in Georgia which is really cool when they mention or make reference to Alabama.

Bloodsuckers - Updated

Nope no Twilight post here, however, with the rate of West Nile going up people are starting to really freak out. I am among those people. I do not like being sick and I do like a little bit of outside exposure.

First and for most experts are saying that it will be held back if it doesn't rain a lot. However, with Hurricane Issac rearing his ugly self through the south part of the country, does that mean we could end up like Dallas, Texas? (Link) I am going to take plenty of precautions and I figured I would share with the rest of my followers.
  • Dump any standing water on your property
  • Use bug spray with DEET
  • Wear long sleeve shirts and pants when outside.
  • Avoid going outside at twilight (ok so the word is mentioned) and dawn
***Update***
Although deet still ranks as the overall best repellent, several others have compared favorably to it. Picaridin, for instance, works well as a repellent. Permethrin is not technically a repellent since it kills mosquitoes and other bugs, and it should be applied to clothing and gear, not skin, but it too works well to keep mosquitoes from biting. One natural and effective option is lemon eucalyptus oil, though you have to apply it more frequently - Buck Tilton, Backpacking Expert

My neighborhood has been sprayed for mosquitoes. If yours hasn't I strongly suggest writing to your town council or city council and suggesting so. Also check to see if mosquitoes in your area or around your area. Children and elderly people are the ones be affected the most but anyone can be infected.

West Nile virus experts claim that many times the virus passes through people without anyone knowing they have it. Death tolls are starting to rise which means some people have a worse case of the virus. People need to be aware of the symptoms:

The severe symptoms can include high fever, headache, neck stiffness, stupor, disorientation, coma, tremors, convulsions, muscle weakness, vision loss, numbness and paralysis. These symptoms may last several weeks, and neurological effects may be permanent.

Up to 20 percent of the people who become infected have symptoms such as fever, headache, and body aches, nausea, vomiting, and sometimes swollen lymph glands or a skin rash on the chest, stomach and back. Symptoms can last for as short as a few days, though even healthy people have become sick for several weeks.

Most commonly people who are infected with WNV will not show any symptoms at all. So if you are worried after getting a mosquito bite go have blood work done. If I am bitten I will get test and then get a second opinion as well. That's just my own personal feelings though.

West Nile fever is characterized by symptoms such as fever, body aches, headache and sometimes swollen lymph glands and rash. West Nile fever generally lasts only a few days, though in some cases symptoms have been reported to last longer, even up to several weeks. There is no specific treatment for WNV infection. (Link)

PERSONAL REFLECTION CHALLENGE!

1: Write about what you like/dislike from yourself, and how you plan to change it?
I'm pretty satisfied right now. I love being adventurous safely (no that does not imply sex!) I love trying new things.

2: Write about a life-changing experience in great details, and what you learn from it.
I've wrote about all of mine on my blog already. Ex-boyfriend type tried to change me, my sister dying, and moving to US

3: Write about 3 of the most influential people in your life that you have met, what makes them influential, and how are you going to thank them

Genevieve Ray - She's unbelievable devoted to God. However, she goes wild at times. I thank her all the freaking time for being a role model to me. She also mentors me.
Jennifer Greene - She has so many kids, yet her life is organized and polished like a magazine. She's funny and hardworking as well. I sent her a card the other thanking her for all the support she has given me.
Frankie Rasbrowen - He has a chronic disease and yet he keeps a smile on his face. He has tries to find something in every day. It is so inspiring! I don't know how to thank him.

4: Write about your biggest regrets, why, and what would you have done instead? Did you learn something from it?
Regrets? I don't really have. The things pop into mind when that is mentioned is noticing my sister changing, and prom. That's about it.

5: List 20 of your favorite quotes and give reasons why you like them.

Dark and difficult times lie ahead. Soon we must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy. - Dumbledore
- Kind of self explanatory

"A bird that has lost it's feathers can no longer sail through the sky's. And a person who has lost her memories can no longer find her way through the world she once called home. But still, I keep my faith. But as long as I have my life, new memories will be carved into the sand of time. "
— Sakura
- Don't let anything hold you back!

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12
-This verse helped me get through most of my high school days and still gets me through a lot.

No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep believing, the dream that you wish will come true. ~ Cinderella
-Yep yep!

You have brains in your head and feet in your shoes
You can steer yourself any direction you choose.
You're on your own and you know what you know.
And you are the one who'll decide where to go. ~Dr. Seuss
-The main was ingenious!

Dedicate your life to a cause greater than yourself, and your life will become a glorious romance and adventure. ~Mack Douglas
-It's sooooo true!

CHRISTMAS is C-hrist's H-istoric, R-emarkable I-ncarnation S-tory, T-elling M-essiah's A-waited S-alvation.~ Jose B. Cabajar
-Hehe to me this is just awesome I love saying Merry Christmas to everyone. If I have to put up with your other religions you can put up with mine. :)

In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life. It goes on. - Robert Frost
-Yup. No matter how much you hold yourself up in a room. The world doesn't stop. What good will suicide do? The world still goes on for the majority of the people. But people who commit suicide just take the easy way out and cause hurt on even more people so no you aren't doing the world any favors.

Success seems to be connected with action. Successful people keep moving. They make mistakes, but they don't quit. - Conrad Hilton
-I just love this sooooooo much. People who sit there day after day complain how other people have what they don't. You have to do something even if its a small something.

It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you're not.
- I have to deal with people telling me all the time "I can't because it's a part of me or it's who I am" No you are fearful of changing. If you aren't a coward get up take the challenge.

"I say this because I know what I am planning for you," says the Lord. "I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I will give you hope and a good future. - Jeremiah 29:11
-I love this because sometimes I just feel like I'm going through the motions and I know God has everything planned out for me.

You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world. John 16:33
- I find comfort in this verse because people ask me all the time why does the Lord let suffering happen. He suffers right along with people. But the goal is to let him handle it because a person alone can't take it on.

"The best thing about the future is that is comes only one day at a time." ~Abraham Lincoln
-I don't think we could handle it any other way.

"Whatever your past has been, you have a spotless future." ~Author Unknown
-Because so many people think that their future is destined by their past.

“No pain that we suffer, no trial that we experience is wasted. It ministers to our education, to the development of such qualities as patience, faith, fortitude and humility. All that we suffer and all that we endure, especially when we endure it patiently, builds up our characters, purifies our hearts, expands our souls, and makes us more tender and charitable, more worthy to be called the children of God . . . and it is through sorrow and suffering, toil and tribulation, that we gain the education that we come here to acquire and which will make us more like our Father and Mother in heaven.”
― Orson F. Whitney
- I am so committing this to memory!

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” - Proverbs 3:5
-Because I realize that my judgement isn't near as amazing as God's

It doesn't matter what you've heard
Impossible is not a word
It's just a reason
For someone not to try ~ Kutless
- I love this because it gives me hope

A woman's heart should be so hidden in God that a man has to seek Him just to find her. - Max Lucado
-This quote brought Chris to a realization. My daddy and I love Max Lucado

God loves you just the way you are, but He refuses to leave you that way. He wants you to be just like Jesus. - Max Lucado
- An amazing Christian writer. I love this because it's truly about becoming new in his appearance.

You weren't an accident. You weren't mass produced. You aren't an assembly-line product. You were deliberately planned, specifically gifted, and lovingly positioned on the earth by the Master Craftsman ~ Max Lucado
- Oh this need to be told to EVERY child!

6: List the things you would do/would have done if you don’t have any fears
If I hadn't of fears I would have defiantly been more outgoing at prom.
Courage to stand up for myself.

7: Write about your dream and how you are going to achieve it.
One of my biggest dreams is dancing or singing in front of a big crowd. I plan on achieving both at my wedding whenever that is.

And It Burns, Burns

At a young age I knew I wanted to be saved. One of the many reasons was I was scared. My dad was a huge brimestone and fire preacher. For some reason people are amazed that he preach in Paris. It scared me so bad that for thinking bad thoughts that I was going to go to hell. I went to him for some resources in this post and I got to thinking about his old sermons about hell and I asked him for the verses.

If you accept God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit this is what you avoid (and it scared me to death):
"...into the darkness where people will cry and grind their teeth with pain" - Matthew 25:30
"The ropes of death wrapped around me. The traps of death were before me." - 2 Samuel 22:6
"But cowards, those who refuse to believe, who do evil things, who kill, who sin sexually, who do evil magic, who worship idols, and who tell lies—all these will have a place in the lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.'" - Revelations 21:8 (That one was a favorite of dad's)
"In hell ... the fire is never put out." - Mark 9:44
"Then it opened up the hole that leads to the bottomless pit, and smoke came up from the hole like smoke from a big furnace. Then the sun and sky became dark because of the smoke from the hole." - Revelations 9:2

I'm sorry but a place where you feel like you are being put through a constant pain and it's hotter than any fire here on Earth? I can't say I even want to think about it. People don't realize that if you do go to hell then you are forced to feel the pain of everything you did in your life. Our church does a Judgement Trail instead of a Judgement House. Our main hell moment is Lazarus and the rich man from Luke:
Jesus said, "There was a rich man who always dressed in the finest clothes and lived in luxury every day. And a very poor man named Lazarus, whose body was covered with sores, was laid at the rich man's gate. He wanted to eat only the small pieces of food that fell from the rich man's table. And the dogs would come and lick his sores. Later, Lazarus died, and the angels carried him to the arms of Abraham. The rich man died, too, and was buried. In the place of the dead, he was in much pain. The rich man saw Abraham far away with Lazarus at his side. He called, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me! Send Lazarus to dip his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am suffering in this fire!' - Luke 16: 19-24
I think people need to learn that it truly believing and doing God's will keep you from feeling the anguish and suffering. Reason being that once your in Hell there is no way back. Daddy showed me some points that fellow pastors and priests have said which are very true.
Oh man or woman, boy or girl without Christ, if only you would realize how dangerously close you are to hell. With each second that passes by, you are drawing nearer and nearer to hell. Actually this night your soul may be required of you and will pass into an eternity of the fires of hell that are never quenched!
As a woman is about to give birth to a child, many go through painful labor that can last from a few minutes to a few days. But through this painful anguishing time, there is hope that when the child is born this terrible labor pain will subside. Just imagine if you can if that pain was multiplied many times over and you would never have hope of it ever going away forever? You would do anything to die to get rid of the pain, but it would always remain and continue forever and ever and ever.
The last one is the point I try to make to everyone realize certain facts. No matter how bad you you have felt on earth it will be multiplied times 1000s. No matter what sin you refuse to ask forgiveness for whether it be lying, unforgiving, homosexuality, theft, murder, whatever; you will end up there if you don't ask God's forgiveness and do what is says in the Bible.

Writing this post affects me because if you are reading this and you haven't been saved. Please do so. People go through pain everyday no matter what. A lifetime of pain times 1000s with no end, ever? I don't wish that on anybody no matter how mad I am at them. The following is the prayer that you can read to join the rest of the Christian family:
"Heavenly Father, have mercy on me, a sinner. I believe in you and that your word is true. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God and that he died on the cross so that I may now have forgiveness for my sins and eternal life. I know that without you in my heart my life is meaningless.
I believe in my heart that you, Lord God, raised Him from the dead. Please Jesus forgive me, for every sin I have ever committed or done in my heart, please Lord Jesus forgive me and come into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior today. I need you to be my Father and my friend.
I give you my life and ask you to take full control from this moment on; I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ."
Amen.
If you prayed that pray welcome to the Christian family. You are on a wonderful walk with the Lord. A journey toward the best eternity ever! I pray for you not even knowing your name or who you might be. If you want me to pray for you with a name or you have prayer concerns with someone you know do not not hesitate to email me. Where Is the Ring?

I used to get tease a lot in high school. I was the true nerd. I never really wanted to go out and party. I only went to the football games to drive my step-sister home because she was a cheerleader. I still never cared to be the students who drank and made out behind the bleachers. To me I had my fantasies in my head of what I wanted. I wasn't going to find love in high school hallways or at a party. I wasn't going to admit to guy that I think he was cute over the internet and hopefully he thought I was too.

Looking back I realize that I was way too mature for my age and yet naive at the same time. I was naive about guys or so I was lead to believe. "You can't have it all." It's them that need to learn what "all" entitles. All entitles that a man makes mistakes, has different interests, and has flaws. "Don't expect him to go all out." If you go all out and the man doesn't then apparently he doesn't care about what you gave him. A relationship needs to be one of a mirror if one does something than the other one needs to do the same. People have had many debates over '40s and '50s wives that didn't work. Um if you are true housewife your  work is never done. Sure it's not a paying job, but you have a sense of accomplishment.

After obtaining my degrees while at home I realized maybe the county of Madison, Alabama wasn't the place for me secure what I wanted to do in life. This was the start of my fall. I left my dad's in the fall of  2010 expecting to find something more. I did in a way, but I never felt complete. I made amazing friends and became closer to my family, including Viv, my step-sister. Along with her, I became closer to Constance, Bridgitte, Hope, Faith, Grace, Ever, Paulette, Valentine, and Madison, all of who are Molyneuxs.

I got a real slap in the face when I thought I found someone. Instead of making me feel on air all the time, more times than not I felt bitter and just wanting him to go away. I tried telling myself it was just the stuff I was going through. It became quite clear when I would rather play Angry Birds than listen to what he was saying. I cared little about anything he said except when he was talking about his mom. That was about it. I didn't want to cuddle with him. I hate the comments about his blue balls and his murmurs of his arrogance.

I had a few people tell me I shouldn't left the way I did. They told me I should I have given it a chance. For a while I felt slightly guilty. Now? I look back and honestly, laugh. I mean my mouth honestly cracks into a wide, big goofy grin. If I had stayed after my finals I would not been at the Jimmy John's where everything changed for me. Now the other guy got quite pissed at me and I think has just now realized that not everyone sided with him about me leaving him like that.

This is a guy who is way too intelligent for his young 21 years old self. He graduated in '07 like I did. We both graduated valedictorian. I'm sure you have heard me talk about him before this post. Yep Chris is truly my first boyfriend. Of all of the guys I have encountered through my travels, work, schooling, and church sessions, I find someone I can't get enough of at a Jimmy John's. However, we have encountered each other before not like that night.

The reason for me writing this post? Two reasons really for writing it. One the first guy showed his butt last night. You know when you are nice to someone for so long and listen to him go on about other girls only for him to delete you. It's like a quote I found today, "When your past calls don't answer it. It has nothing new to say."

Two, Chris pretty much told everyone he wants to marry me. We have done things together only married couples. However, sex is not one of them. We haven't made out yet even. We have slept in the same bed but Chris was sweet and nice enough to pillows between us. That was during our trip to Ireland. That was the last time we slept in the same bed. We sleep on the couch a lot when he stays over.

How does my family feel about him? Well let me put this way even my step-mom approves of him and cannot wait for us to get married. My dad would marry us as soon as Chris would ask me I have a feeling. This is the man that for years shielded me from male contact with the exception of my brothers. He had breakfast with Chris and neither of them will tell me what they talked about it. However, dad did tell me that Chris and I will be doing counseling together for preengagement couples.

He Will Continue to Surprise Me

I grew up with the Disney Princesses and home videos of past recordings. When my mom married my dad they received a VCR and my mom was crazy about taping little kid shows. For that I'm grateful. She also bought so many children book for me it was ridiculous. My grandmother in Paris said she was almost crestfallen when she had Jared because she wanted a girl so bad. She wanted a girl to dress up and have tea parties with air for tea.

I was and still am a slight tomboy, but I have always loved romantics. I took dance in Paris. Yes, people are gasping in Tuscaloosa reading this. I am actually able to stand on toe for ballet. I took dance for over ten years. It's amazing I have been able to keep it a secret for this long. I realized that yesterday I missed it. When I was stretching and Viv said something about me taking dance and Maddy almost fell off the couch. Yes, miss-fall-down-the-stairs is a Prima Ballerina in Paris. Maddy wouldn't believe it.

I had to prove to her that I really could. I think my favorite thing was Chris's facial expression. Why I thought he would be astounded I don't know, but I looked over there at him. He was giving me the famous look at this point.
It wasn't until he stood up that I got slight nervous. He kicked off his shoes and grabbed me and told me to do a certain position quickly. Next thing I know he is one foot on his tiptoes. I know my eyes were wide. I was completely shocked. Maddy had Dr.Pepper dripping down her chin. Constance was doing a half-cracked smile. "You have taken ballet?!" I know I almost screamed that at him. "Yes, eight years." So apparently my boyfriend has been honest to his word. We have much to learn about each other.

So, we were talking last night and I looked at him and asked him was there anymore hidden talents. He just grinned. I asked him did he ever get made fun of because he liked to girly things. Again the Flynn Look came from him. "I love to learn; stereotyping has never stopped nor does it change my orientation." My love grew him for him at that statement. We put in Beauty and the Beast. We fell asleep with Jackjack between us.

Surprise!

Ok, so most of you should know I go back to school tomorrow. I'm slightly anxious because a lot of my classes are online. That way I can work and still go to school at the same time. So on Mondays and Wednesday you won't be able to reach me from 11am-1pm. I have a class that I can take while at work but I really need to keep my focus.  On Thursday nights I won't be able to talk because I will have a class then as well but that's actually requiring me to go to the campus.

I also have to more classes but they are on Podcast and I just have to have them finished by the end of the semester. So I will be working on a few things here and there while writing blogs and such. This is probably where the blogs will start to dwindle, however, I will strive to keep the same pace.

When I arrived home yesterday I had a small party waiting on me. My dad, my stepmom, my lovely stepsister/cousin, my other cousin and all my baby brothers were there. I was really excited because yesterday the two oldest of the baby brothers started school and I was happy to hear how their days went. John starts having after school practice today after school. I cannot believe he is in the 7th grade.

They all wanted to know how my first day back at work was and how Sunday night went going to the Target Takeover with the School. It is really nice having family that cares about you and is dying to know how even the little things go. I quickly made some snacks and fixed drinks. While I was gone they produced a big present. I was quickly pushed and coaxed into opening the box. Inside was something I had to laugh at to myself.
Vera Bradley
I had just bought a wristlet from her company on Sunday, but inside my present was a backpack that matched the wristlet I had bought yesterday. The outside is black and white flowers with a red background. The inside is black and white houndstooth. I'm sure I'll post pictures soon but for now here you go:

However, that was not all as I quickly told by my 2-almost-3 year old brother who popped my hand and told me to "ook or!" (Look more! for those of you who don't speak toddler talk.) I smiled at my stepsister, Viv, who I'm sure I'll be discussing more now that she has moved from Paris, France to Huntsville, Alabama for good. I know she had something to do with the next thing I seen.

If you kept up with my Summer Bucket list you know one of my things was to get a personalized planner from Erin Condren. I did get that but they had gotten me a personalized iPad folio. Which is similar to a cover for it but it also folds certain ways so I can do more with my iPad.
designer ipad folios -favorite things
This matches my planner and Viv was very sneaky about how she got what my favorite 50 things were for the design. But once again I was told to keep digging in the big TV box. (Which hopefully means dad got a new tv. He desperately needed one.) There were many more gifts. I'll just list them below.

Dry Erase Collegiate Calendar
Now the reason I got these things was something I wanted to know. I was stunned, shocked, and overwhelmed. I asked daddy why. He didn't respond instead my stepmom answered. "Because you deserve it." The woman that for over six years and more I had despised, and was the reason I had to ask forgiveness so many times, was complimenting me. She told me I had worked hard to get to where I am today and that I deserved a little pampering. I hugged her and for the first time ever I think we both felt like it was a real hug.

We all talked for a while. They left because they were all going out to dinner. They offered to me and everyone staying at my house if we would like to join and we declined. I just sat there in awe with my youngest baby brother Jackjack who was playing with Abby. I sent my stepmom an email and I think now we might have realized what we have been missing out on all these years.

100th Post

It does not seem like I have posted 100 posts. I remember my first blog. I was nervous, laying in the floor the hotel I was staying at for Claudette's wedding and the girl that now idolizes my blog, was laying on the bed above me. I was unsure about a lot of things. I just knew what I wanted to do. I wanted to share my life.

I was slightly shocked that people started reading my blog right away. Now I have posts that get read almost instantly 30 times in an hour. I have been readers and my blog has been read on over 15 different cellphones. My favorite part is that I have people all over the world care to stop by my blog to see what my life is like and that makes me think of Maddy's reasoning for being obsessed with my blog. "Your life rocks."

I always laugh, but sitting here an rereading some post I realize how thankful I am that my life is plentiful and joyful. God really has blessed me in life, with jobs, a place to live, food, things I want but don't need, and my blog. I realize many times now that my blogs not only show you my life, but also give you information. I like that it has stayed true to the schedule. Though, I do like to do spontaneous posts and funny posts just because it breaks free of tradition.

I appreciate those of you who stick by me through my ranting and raving. My endless obsessions and fandoms. If there is anything else you would like me to write about don't hesitate to tell me. I'll be here;

Caboodle

My stepmom had one of these hard shell make-up holders when I was little. It was green and purple and closed with light pink heart snap. She had kept her make-up in it, but she noticed I loved to play with the box and she put her make up away in a cabinet and gave me the caboodle! I put my paper dolls in there to keep up with all the pieces especially Disney's and Barbie's their paper dolls came with shoes.

On a side note, here lately I have been buying paper dolls on ebay and in-stores. I pray that one day I will have a daughter that they loved paper dolls as much as I did when I was a child. If not then perhaps I will have a niece that can enjoy them.

Anyhow, I never had make-up to put in it even when I got older. I know it went on to house Legos for my brother and I believe he broke it. It wasn't until the other day when I was going through my Make-Up Circle on Google+ and one of the make-up woman I follow had a post that made me squeal with delight! Phyrra was talking about a giveaway that Caboodle will be doing a give away when they get to 200k likes on Facebook. They are at 194k right now, so I'm urging you, go like Caboodles now!

There will be 25 winners that will receive many Caboodle products as well as some other sponsor goodies. However, with the trips I have coming up I can't wait until then to see if I'm even a winner. I need something to carry my make-up supplies in now for trips. I bought mine this morning while Chris was walking Abby before we both left for work. I bought the Caboodle Grande Train Case in Adore. It is houndstooth!

I also ordered a bag to carry hair products and other make-up needs in as well. I ordered the Caboodle 'It' bag in Le Sophistique which is really several bags inside as well but you can take out and mix in what bags you do or don't want to carry.

So I am pretty excited about our Disney trips coming up. Plus these will be great for the weekends that we go to tailgate. However, I am thinking of getting one like I used to have even though it won't be two toned. I think it will be a nice childhood reminder. Who knows that might be where I keep those paper dolls until it is time to use them. :)

Just Thinking..

A man’s chest is a girl’s comfort zone. It is a warm feeling when a girl is leaning her head through a guy’s chest. It is not just about lust or anything. But, it is way to comfort herself. There’s a sense of security when you just feel the lovely curves in his chest. It’s like listening to his heartbeat and feeling her breath beneath your hair. You’ll talk about happy things and you can fall asleep. It’s one of the best yet simple moments that you can cherish with the person that you love so much.

The Falling Leaves, Drift By the Window

It upsets when people say they can't achieve their dreams. I usually ask what their dreams are and I get well dreams that are broad and take many steps and stages. Nobody ever thinks about breaking down a goal. This world has come to the point where nobody wants to work to get anything they want. Even to get our food the fast food industry has grow in the past decade.

You can't get everything you want instantly some things have to be obtained and sometimes in a specific order. I believe dreams can always be followed. It might not be the exact picture in your head but things are rarely what we imagine them to be.

As most of you know I decided to make a Summer Bucket List. It wasn't any big dreams, but it was small dreams to help me have a fantastic summer.
